On Wednesday, November 22, 2023, the Faculty of Law of Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta held a meeting with the School of Law of Ateneo de Manila University in order to discuss opportunities for cooperation between the two universities.
The afternoon meeting was attended by Vice Rector 3 of UAJY, Ir. Yosef Daryanto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of Faculty of Law UAJY, Prof. Dr. Anita Christiani, Head of Department of Faculty of Law UAJY, Dr. Sundari, and 2 lecturers of the faculty of Law UAJY Endro Susilo S.H., LL.M., and Ni Putu Yogi Paramitha Dewi, S.H., M.H., M.A.
Meanwhile, Ateneo de Manila was represented by Prof. Amparita S. Sta. Maria - Director, Graduate Legal Studies Institute and Atty. Ryan Jeremiah D. Quan - Program Officer, Graduate Legal Studies Institute.
The meeting was opened by a speech from UAJY’s Vice Chancellor 3 whose in charge of Student, Alumni, and Partnership Affairs. Followed by remarks and introductions of the Faculty of Law UAJY and the International Undergraduate Program that will be opened next year.
The Faculty of Law Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta is currently setting up an international undergraduate program in which the engagement between two universities will have an important impact to strengthen our program. Hence, the meeting will be organized to reach an understanding and deliverable programs from the partnership between the two universities.
It was also a follow up of the Momerandum of Agreement that has been reached by the two universities concerning Student Exchange Agreement between The Ateneo de Manila University and Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta in 2020.
After the two universities presented the material in the form of existing programs at each university, they agreed to then continue communication for a common perception of what programs can be undertaken collaboratively under the umbrella of the existing MOA between two universities.
